Don Hillebrand's remarkable retail journey began in the early 1960s as he was walking home from school and saw a help wanted sign — in 1971, that dream of owning his own store became reality.
We are proud, honored, and grateful to announce that Don Hillebrand has been inducted into the Class of 2023 AVB Hall of Fame. This award is given to individuals for their lifetime of achievement within the BrandSource group and the industry.
For 50 years, Don’s has been growing the business and supporting customers and the communities they operate in. They’re large enough to offer competitive pricing, yet small enough to continue offering the “white glove” service they were founded on. Don’s Appliances’ focus is always on the customer— from their experience online, to the first step into a showroom, when the products are delivered and installed and well after the appliances begin needing to be serviced.

Don’s Appliances is a family-owned, independent appliance retailer based out of Pittsburgh, PA. Founded in 1971, Don’s Appliances has expanded to 10 locations selling, delivering, installing and servicing all major appliance brands. More recently, Don’s has added kitchen and bath fixtures to our product mix. WATERSOURCE by Don's Appliances, our dedicated kitchen and bath showroom, is located in East Liberty. Kitchen and bath fixtures can also be found throughout our other 10 locations. In 2019 we opened our first Factory Outlet location in North Fayette selling discounted appliances and water products

Making the World a Greener Place
Matt Hillebrand talks about Don's Appliances' daily recycling efforts. With over 100,000 appliances sold each year, we do our best to recycle as much as possible. From our cardboard and styrofoam bailers to our electric forklifts, we are continuing to do our part in making the world a better place.
